Good to hear from you Chris. Was just sharing with friends the other day how much Ramya and I enjoy your essays and encouraging them to get on Substack. Hope your novel is going well. Will be first in line to purchase a copy when you publish it. Enjoy your summer.
Thanks Holly! You’ve always been one of my most encouraging readers, and being a bit of a masochist, I’ve always underestimated my need for words like yours.
I’ve been working steadily on my graphic novel, all head down, and it’s going so well, I figured I could allow myself the pleasure of posting essays again, at a pace that doesn’t get in the way of my core mission.
I liked the Lightly poem, just haven’t been commenting, not because I had nothing to say, but because once I start talking I can’t seem to shut myself up.
That is the way to live. Unhurried, open, attentive, reflective, appreciative. Thanks for sharing.
…what a novel way to meet friends and strangers…way overdue for a yard sale…

Thanks, Kevin! I appreciate your putting friends on to my work! Novel is going well. Learning a helluvalot! Tell Ramya I said Hi.
I’ve missed your writing. A breath of fresh air as usual.

I’m proud of your Focus.
And I totally get not commenting. Sometimes, it’s just a lot of work. The heart is enough. Thanks, Chris :)
